SData Custom Extensions

The real power of SData comes when the protocol is taken and extended to deliver practical business solutions.

One main type of extension is the use of SData in integration contracts. These contracts define the terms and conditions for integration between applications (e.g. what data can be exchanged) and use SData as the enabling technology. A range of SData integration contract custom extensions exist - one for using SData to integrate with Sage's range of CRM products, one for integrating with HR/Payroll applications, and one for integrating with Fixed Assets applications. Further details on these custom extensions are available below. Other SData integration contract custom extensions are being developed for payment processing, Microsoft Outlook, construction/real estate and accountant filing/reporting and these pages will be updated as and when these custom extensions are complete.

  • Global CRM Integration Contract

The Sage Global CRM Business is using SData to develop exciting new functionality to create easier and better integrations between Sage's CRM product lines: ACT!, SalesLogix and Sage CRM and Sage accounting and ERP products worldwide.

  • HR-Payroll Integration Contract

The Global HR (Human Resource) & Payroll contract is a contract for integrating both Sage and non-Sage HR & Payroll products. The aim of the contract is to enable teams to develop web-based integration and productivity solutions that will then work across all SData-enabled Sage and non-Sage HR & Payroll products.

  • Fixed Assets Integration Contract

The Global Fixed Asset contract is a contract that enables integration between Sage and non-Sage accounting and ERP products and Fixed Asset Management products. Like all other contracts the aim is to enable teams to develop web-based integration and productivity solutions that will then work across all SData-enabled Sage and non-Sage products.
